Sensor Integration Therapy
Sensory Integration is the neurological process that organizes sensation from one’s own body and from the environment and makes it possible to use the body effectively within the environment.
Sensory Integration is a theory of brain behaviour relationship.
- It explains why individual behaves in a particular way
- Plans intervention to ameliorate particular difficulties
- Predict how behaviour will change as a result of intervention
As sensory Integration therapy is concern, it is used in Autism spectrum disorder,Cerebral Palsy,Down Syndrome and Mental Retradation Treatment.
It is an active process by which the proximal sensations of our body with association of other distal sensations act in a playful process for an adaptive behaviour.
